Posted By: Nate
As the title suggests, what was your biggest steal you ever won on an eBay auction? Mine was purchasing a N162 Kelly for less than $100 about four years ago. The front of the card was a strong EX+, but about 30% of the back was lost from being glued into an album. The woman selling the card from L.A. totally botched spelling Kelly's name and she had no idea how to list the card, in the first place. Regardless of condition (even though it "presents well"), it was a "steal of a deal." What's yours?

Posted By: Steve M.
Four or five years ago picked up a PSA 8 Carl Hubbell 33 Goudey with a Buy it Now price of $180.00. Suspect the seller meant to say $1,800.00.

Posted By: joe brennan
Maybe not the biggest bargain ever but last night I picked up 8 SGC graded T206's for $91. 5 portraits in the lot. Scans were small but all seem to present themselves well. We'll see when I get them. Maybe not the biggest steal, but I feel it's a good deal.

A scared man can't gamble and a jealous man can't work.

Posted By: warshawlaw
The R94 Ruth I purchased for under $60; T219 Red Cross boxing card for under $30; T218 Tolstoi Langford for under $35; my favorite one, though, is the N300 Duffy I bought. It was not a steal at the time but has since ripened into one of the best card deals I've ever done.

Posted By: BcDaniels
in the beginning of e-bay people pulled stuff out of the garage and posted it,got decent money, found it fun and continued to clean out the "attic" next!
I purchased 2 paintings in a weeks time and cleaned, reframed and submitted them to "real" auction houses netting 5000% on one and almost 8000% on the other. It was fantastic...........but that was then. I bought a E-102 Miller fielding card for $65 from a BOARD member and sold it for $2500 but I suspect a lot of people on here who have high feedback ratings and treasure hunt a lot can boast of bigger "steals".

Posted By: jay behrens
Most of my biggest steals are not baseball card related. I picked up a N2 Chief Gall variation for $5 and sold it a year later for $800. Got a N36 Geronimo for $200 and Rheinhardt cabinet of Red Cloud for $40. My biggest baseball card steal will probably be the card I have in the upcoming REA auction.

Jay

I've just reached Upper Lower Class.
