Posted By: matt
Just came into a very large amount of T205's. Including the Cobb, Johnson, Young etc. Broad Leaf backs on a couple. ALMOST A COMPLETE SET. All Authentic

Since I don't plan on keeping these is it better to sell them as a lot or individually? Missing 5 cards from the regular set. Missing 9 variations. Lower grade type set. PSA 1 and 2's if someone gets them graded.

I do quite a bit on Ebay.

Any help is appreciated.
Matt

Authentic T205's with reasonable starting prices and good scans ALWAYS sell.

Thanks...and since I still need 18 cards for the set, I'll be looking!!

familytoad
Brian L

Posted By: Josh
I would be interested in some of those cards that you have. I was wondering if you would sell privately, instead of ebay, please email me and let me know, thanks!

Posted By: matt
I purchased these from a guy who came to the card show with them. What a great response from everyone... thanks!!!!

I feel really lucky to have them.. Although they were not free by any means.

The hard part is making the decision to keep them as a set or break them up to make money. But I know I will never ever have this quantity again. Wish I could say quality due to lower grades. They are cool.

Why do I feel like they are second best compared to the T206 set minus the big ones of course? I have inserted a few to show the variations and condition.

Posted By: Mike Ernst
T205's are a great set! Back in the early 70's I knew that on my budget I would never finish T206 (at that time it was the big three--now the big four that are missing). Since I had a majority of the T205 set, I decided to finish that, and I've never regretted it. I like the information on the back of the T-205's, (vs. the brand only on the back of T-206's). It's seldom that you run into a quantity of them like that for sale anymore.

Posted By: jay behrens
You can look at the set two ways, there is what I call the basic set, which is all the different fronts. Some of the variations are different poses of the same players. Then there is what I would call the master set. This would be set with all the print variation on the back, such as the 4 different Hoblitzell cards. Put the set together which evr way you want. It's your set to put togehter.

Jay

I've just reached Upper Lower Class. I am now officially a babe magnet for poor chicks.

Posted By: Shawn Adkins
As someone who also fell into a very large grouping of these cards, I would definately encourage you to go for the set (master or regular). Personally I love the gold borders and even though my master set is complete, I continue to spend massive amounts of my free time researching these wonderful cards.

This set has a little bit of everything, HOFers, tough variations, stats/bio, minor leaguers, it's a grand adventure. Since you are that close, I would jump at the chance to put it to bed. I originally had purchased my large lot of T205s (w/Cobb, Johnson, Matty, Young, etc) with the sole intention of flipping them...took about 1 mintue after they arrived to change my mind. Out of curiosity which regular/variation cards were missing?

Shawn
webmaster@showmesavants.com
