Posted By: leon
Wow...the other pick up thread got to 65 posts....I thought we would keep them about at about 50 posts. For anyone that posted their new prizes in the last day or so feel free to post again here if you want to...Here's one of my latest...yet another E92 (SGC says E102) with a boxer back. The dealer, a board member, said it was a Menagerie back. It's an E78 back....and in really good condition as these wrong backed cards go...regards all

Posted By: Joann
Wow - this is a great card. Wayne - you're a star.

Now I have to pinch my pennies for a bit. Lower end pick ups or unusual cards only. Otherwise I'm saving to try to get something from Julie Vognar's collection in the April REA. Maybe a cocktail napkin from the tavern across the street from one of the card printers? lol. That might be it. Oh well - here's the latest.

Posted By: Ben
Also completed a trade with a forum member for a e102 cobb which I've wanted for a long time. And there's one more card that I will not mention yet because it's in transit, can't jinx it. January has been kind to me!

Posted By: Tony Andrea
You wouldnt beleive where & how I found these. I was at a local antique consignment store and saw these out of the corner of my eye actually hanging in sandwich baggies inside a glass armoire an elderly lady had for sale.
Got her # from the front desk & called her up and she stated she had even more so I met with her.
Bought all she had (10), and she even gave me a 25% discount on the lot. Doesnt get any better than that, does it?? She said they are from her deceased uncle's estate who passed away a fews years back. She also left me a message tonite and says she found a Cy Young card that looks just like the ones she sold me today. HHMM!!! Think I'll be meeting her tomorrow. Will post a scan when I get it.

Tony

Posted By: Tony Andrea
Beleive me, this little old lady was sharp as a tack. She knew exactly what she had and what "E" cards had done recently. In fact, she said I was just a tad to late on having a chance at more.
She knew a dealer from Pennsylvania and gave him a call about 6 months ago when they were found.
He of course got 1st dibb's & hand picked the biggies before pricing each card that was left for her to sell. I saw the log book. He took all the Cobb's, Wagners, etc.
Man, I wish I would have been in that antique store 6 months ago..........
Posted By: Travis Anderson
Anyone have any idea from what timeframe this may have been produced? There is no tax stamp or date markings on the box anywhere. The back, however, is marked with a 10, Factory No.7, 3d. District, New York. I've seen Murad college cards, but were there other series? Any information is appreciated.

Thanks!
Travis
