For example Walter Johnson is my choice for all time greatest starting pitcher, but for this team I have to give the position to Matty for his 1914 CJ Card.

1b 1925 Exhibits Gehrig
2b T206 Magee
SS T206 Wagner
3b N172 Anson in uniform
Of Cobb/Cobb Back
Of 1914 Boston Garter Joe Jackson
Of M101-5 Ruth
C Four Base Hits Kelly
P 1914 Cracker Jack Mathewson

I had in mind a team of cards by position based equally on player merit and card desirability.

This card all-time team, should in some degree differ from an all-time team based solely on player merit. Magee doesn't make my top 5 second basemen, but his T206 card is one of the greatest cards of all-time. He was a good player, but his card is in a different league against any Hornsby et al issues.
