N300 Mayo Shindle Question - 1895?

But baseball-reference.com says his debut wasn't until October 1886, and no affiliation with Brooklyn until 1894. <br /><br />Can anyone shed light on this? Was there something he did w/Brooklyn in 1885 that merited a card? I'm thinking he couldn't have had a player role, or bb-ref would have listed his debut as such.<br /><br />Thanks for the info.<br /><br />Joann

Duh. <br /><br />Oh well - here's my ignorance on display for all! <img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14><br /><br />Thanks Joe, for clearing it up.
