At this stage I think the investment aspect figures into it to some degree or another for most (if not all) vintage collectors, whether or not we want to admit it or not. <br /><br /><br />Still, is investing for resale (at least the primary goal) even the same thing as collecting ?<br /><br /> I also think that the hording category sort of eludes the question -- "what are you hording?" sets? HOFers ? Rare Type cards ? Brooklyn Dodgers ? Catchers ? Cards you think are a good investment or can be graded and flipped profitably ?<br /><br /><br /> I also think the word "hording" has a much less positive connotation than "collecting"
