Posted By: leon
As an equal opportunity dictator I want to give a friendly reminder that after the 1st 5 copies of OldCardboard magazine, if you were one of the initial subscribers you got an extra one free, then your subscription has run out. If you want our friends to keep their great magazine going please go to their website and paypal them a few bucks for a new subscription. I forgot to do mine too but did get it done yesterday. If you are reading this board, and care about vintage baseball cards at all, you really should subscribe. I have absolutely no vested interest in their magazine except I think it's the best one out and I want to see it continue (I am not saying it won't but subscriptions certainly help matters).....regards ....moderator dude

Posted By: Lyman Hardeman
Damian, I thought you would never ask, but glad you did.

Old Cardboard Magazine subscriptions (or renewals) can be ordered on-line at http://www.oldcardboard.com/subscriptions.asp. Abstracts of all articles from past issues can also be found from links on that page. There is still time (although not much) for those whose subscriptions expired with Issue #5 to renew online to make sure there is no lapse in your run of the magazine.

Brett and I want to thank Leon and all memebers of this forum for your kind words of support. Old Cardboard is truly a magazine for vintage collectors by vintage collectors and we believe that anyone with even a remote interest in "old cardboard" will find the magazine helpful and informative.

Now well into our second year of publishing, we look forward to a very eventful 2006 and welcome comments from all collectors about your interests and what you would like to see in future issues.

Thanks again for the support of all members of this board. It is very much appreciated.

Lyman and Brett Hardeman

Posted By: davidcycleback
Subscribers to Old Cardboard might also wish to subscribe to Gridiron Greats (gridirongreats.net). It's a similar quarterly magazine about vintage football memorabilia (cards, autographs, pennants, programs, equipment, etc). Lots of Pre-WWII articles. Not only is it an enjoyable magazine, but it's one of these one man opperations that I think is important to support. If you don't want all the magazines to be pubished by million dollar companies like Collector Universe and Beckett and Time(not disprespecting their magazines), then it's important to subscribe to an Old Cardboard or Gridiron Greats-- or both.
