Some of us just happen to be collectors of a lesser god... (just a joke and not meant to be sacriligious).

Peace to All!

The only time there was offense at the table was when someone disrespected Mike Ditka in the presence of a Illinois resident

Posted By: identify7@aol.com
Barry Slote: I too wish that we could talk baseball cards with no regard to profession, religion, criminal record, sexual orientations, nor other characteristics which define our individuality. To wit:

I noticed too December 24 2005, 1:08 PM

Yes, you did notice that these threads have been divided by religious denomination. Does somebody know how do merge them? That way, we can all live in harmony.

************************************************** **********************

I am not sure Barry why persons feel compelled to identify themselves by their profession, religion, or other traits. But it seems that Jews, Lawyers and more recently the (far less desireable) Bankers have been coming out of the closet.

************************************************** **********************

Back in the closet all of you, I say!
I do not reveal the method of spousal abuse which I prefer.
Nor do I identify the the type of drugs which I find most profitable to peddle.

Please do not encumber me with your own trivial differences, and lets get on with it.

Edited to add, jocularly:
I mean no intense offended, but does anyone have a verifiable photograph of any of them with their hands in their own pockets?

Posted By: davidcycleback
Josh, I know you're going to hold this against me, but I have to be honest. I was born and raised in Wisconsin as a Green Bay Packers fan. Though I can assure you it wasn't me who said anything about Mike Ditka at dinner. I'm culturally sensitive, as I attended an integrated grade school that admitted children of Illinois pro sports fans. We were taught to not blame the child because the Cubs suck. It took another generation before the school admitted kids of Dallas Cowboy fans.
