Posted By: DRY
Hi all,

My dad, who has been a compulsive collector of print materials for about 50 years now, just cleaned out his old storage shed this week for the first time in a long while, and found a whole bunch of vintage magazines, newspapers, and books dating back to the 1800s. In addition, he found a curious item: a sepia-toned photo, on a thin piece of copper or tin, measuring about 3-1/2 x 2-1/4. The photo looks just like the OJ photos, but neither he nor I can identify the two men in the photo.

Considering the wealth of knowledge of this sort of thing on VBC, I am wondering if anyone might have any idea.

Thanks so much in advance!

Posted By: davidcycleback
It's a late 1800s tintype, which was a standard type of photograph in the 1800s. The identity of the two men is likely long gone, and there's no indication they were baseball players.
