I’m curious – why do you think vintage film card collecting hasn’t caught on?

Could it be because:
1)Actors/actresses haven’t been seen as heroic or idolized as ballplayers?
2)Many vintage film cards were manufactured internationally and not in the US?
3)No stats on the back?

Again, I’m just curious. I’m starting to get into collecting vintage film cards (my vintage baseball collection seems to be at a standstill with just a few 1907-09 Cobbs) and also noticed a familiar vintage baseball ebay-er bidding on similar items as me so thought there might be some interest on this site to discuss.

Now that I brought it up, please don’t outbid me on any James Stewart cards

All the best,
Ed
