Posted By: leon
Ok folks....here's your chance to vote on what the new poll will be. Within reason the most votes will be the new poll. Doesn't matter to Brian or I... I think the results from the last one are:

1. T206 Wagner
2. 1914 Ruth
3. N690 FBH Kelly (tie)
3. N172 Anson in Uniform (tie)
4. Just So Young.....( I think lack of pic had something to do with it)

regards.....moderator dude..

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
LEON

I think we need a diversion fom Cardboard and "Plastics".

How about a poll on our favorite BaseBall Movies. I think it
would generate a lot of interesting discussion.

Posted By: leon
I don't mind considering anything vintage baseball to talk about but when it comes down to it this is not really a vintage "anything" baseball chatboard. I am open to a lot of things but if we read the top of the front page you will know my main thoughts. I am still listening and don't want to be close minded. I am not sure you were on the board some time ago when the direction got a little less focused and myself and many others were somewhat disappointed. Again, as Ross P. would say "I'm all ears", which is sort of funny because he is literally almost all ears. best regards

edited to say I rarely have an issue with thread or two about movies etc....as evidenced in the past....(when started by a regular participant).

Posted By: dennis
how about a poll for a card that does not exist but we all wish it would. 1 from pre 1900 and 1 from 1900-1941....obvious examples would be t206 joe jackson and '34 diamond star ruth.

Posted By: identify7
Lets vote on changing our selections for the VBC HOF Camel cards.

I never did like the limp wristed E92 Dockman Matty,

I never saw the point in the "put the ball in your glove, jump as high as you can, and Ill snap the picture" Nadja Oakes;

And I guess there is strong support for Mitchell's E90-1, but does anyone remember why?

Lets generate a thread to come up with new nominations, then put it to a vote: the incumbents or the wannabees

Edited to make bad spelling worse.

Posted By: Stufflestreet, Chris
Does anybody else here find it funny that you're having a poll to determine what the next poll is going to be?

But since I'm expected to actually contribute to the discussion...let me agree with the suggestion to name our favorite "cards that aren't" -- like a T210 Jim Thorpe...he played at Rocky Mount in 1910, which would have put him in the scarce 7th series and resulted in a very expensive card.
