Posted By: John S
The front image looks too grainy. The reverse usually has a uniform faint red tint within the borders of the card. Your reverse looks splotchy, an effect that I have never observed before. The borders on the front of the card also appear too narrow and the bottom edge looks to have been hand-trimmed.

Posted By: jay behrens
The card doesn't look right. Picture looks fuzzy and the color of the stock looks wrong, which just might be your scanner. Unless a Goudey is slabbed, I am leery of any '33 Goudey doesn't have the wet sheet transfer of red on the back of the card.

If the card isnt yours, get the owner to slab the card if you are thinking of buying. If it's yours get the card slabbed. The price difference between raw and slabbed Ruth's is monsterous, but unless you've got cash to burn, buying a raw Ruth isn't worth it unless you know how to tell a real Goudey when you have it in your hands.

Jay

I'm incompetent at being incontenent.
