Posted By: Anson
Today, I stumbled across this auction and now I find myself confused. Not that anyone REALLY cares about the "1st graded" tag that GAI places upon their cards. However, I have a E101 Young that was given the 1st graded designation before I crossed it over to SGC. All I have to say is hmmmmmmmm?

http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-E101-Set-of-50-Cy-Young-HOF-GAI-1-5-1st-Graded_W0QQitemZ8715126064QQcategoryZ73433QQssPage NameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I could care less if it was the 50th graded ever!

Jimi

Posted By: Anson
Julie, very few of the cards from the E92, E101, E101, etc...look like the players. Although, they didn't "genericize" the pics like E91s.

Maybe it's Irv

Posted By: Cobby33
So does "1st Graded" mean (a) the first particular number grade for that type of card; or (b) the first time that exact card was graded - i.e. to suggest that it wasn't a re-grade?

Posted By: Richard Dwyer
Steve Rochi told me first graded means the first time that card has been graded by GAI. EVERY card sent to GAI is always first graded. Common sense. Else, if GAI graded 55 Babe Ruth cards of the same grade, would the 55th card be 55th graded? No.
