Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
Although these cards are not what we would call
vintage, these 36 cards certainly are noteworthy
due to their extreme scarcity.

I started putting this set together 20 years ago.
And, I do not recommend trying to "piecemeal" it
as I did. It took me 7 years to complete it. But,
I am still up-grading in order to replace a few
remaining hand-cut cards in the set.

A question for RICHARD LLOYD.....your set really
looks nice, are all 36 cards "factory-cut" ?

And, a question to any of the Forum members who
have complete (or partial) set of the 1949 Bowman
PCL cards.....what % are "factory cut" ?
Posted By: Scot
My type card. I bought it from Levi at 707 sports cards (he had a few more). My kind of set, real tough to complete. Richard Lloyds set is indeed impressive.

Posted By: Richard Lloyd
Thanks for the kind works on the 1949 PCL Bowman set...
YES, all cards are factory cut and 34 of the 36 cards would grade in EX-NM condition... The other 2 are VG..
The set kind of fell in my lap where I traded for it...
From what I know, most cards from this set are hand cut..
but this is a good question for Mark Macrae..
again, thanks for the kind words about the set...
I was luckey to get it..
Best
Dick
