Is there a reference guide for the Minor Leagues available?

Posted By: <b>Patrick McMenemy</b><p>Is there a reference guide available that is similar to "The Official Encyclopedia of Baseball" for the Minor League players?<br /><br />For those of us that collect Minor League issues such as: PCL issues, T209s, T210s, T211s, and T213s, identitfication of players is often quite difficult, and, in some cases, next to impossible.<br /><br />Any help is appreciated.<br /><br />Patrick<br /><br /><br /><br />

Posted By: <b>ramram</b><p>The best source I know of is the annual Spalding Guides. They have pretty good sections on the minor leagues along with many team photos. Of course, the difficulty is obtaining many different guides to cover the years. There are many reprints available however.<br /><br />Rob M.

I have a few from 1904 to 1914 and<br />the detail in them regarding all the Minor Leagues<br />of that era is amazing. I refer to them very often<br />to get more insight to players that I see on the<br />T-type Minor lge., OBAK, etc. BB cards.
