Posted By: Lee Behrens
As of 6 pm cst I have completed my T202 set. That last one sure was a bugger but I know own it and the set is complete. A little more tough that I thought, the last card I needed rarely came up for sale in the 5 years I was in pursuit of it.

Know the question, what set is next? have started on the Piedmont Art stamps but they come up so rarely that I need more activity.

What a relief,

Lee
Posted By: jay behrens
I say go after the 1981 Fleer set and all its variations Congrats and ignore that open basement window and the fact that some cards are missing.

Given the way fuel prices are going, I think it is going to be cheaper for many of you Norhtern folk to heat your home with cards instead. Fortunately, utilities are included in my rent, so my cards are safe

Jay

My place is full of valuable, worthless junk.

Posted By: Judge Dred (Fred)
Great news!!! IMO, the T202 is one of the nicer sets from the T series or from that era.

How long did it take you to complete the set?

Posted By: john/z28jd
Congrats Lee,i know that last card is tough because i never saw it since you told me you needed it well over a year ago.You should go for a set thats able to be completed including any variations, but something that wont be too easy so its more fun.

May i suggest the c46 set.It is a great looking set,not too big,a couple tough cards but it also has alot of players you wont find in your t206 or t202 set.Plus it has bio's on the back

Posted By: T206Collector
I just picked up my first three e95's on ebay last night. Halleygator beat me out for the Bender (actually, I was third in line behind Hal). I would prefer a little less competition...

Congrats on the T202!

Posted By: Kevin Cummings
Lee:

As an Old Judge collector, I'll never get that "Whew - I'm all done" feeling.

Well done! Enjoy!

You might want to take a look at the Tatoo Orbit set as your next target. Only 60 cards and a decent composition of HOFers and minor stars.

Kevin

Posted By: Lee Behrens
The last card I needed was the Too Late for Devlin, Christy Mathewson/Arthur Devlin (rustlers) card. All four of those variations (2 different center panels each with Giant/Rustler variations) are tough but this one rarely ever came up for sale. If it did I always bid high (what I tought was high) and got slammed every time. I was very happy with the price of the one I picked up.

As far as the next set, I not fond of Black & white cards, so that eliminates those. The Tatto Orbit set sounds interesting may look into that set. Not much worry on the Caramel cards though I only bid on those on a whim.

Hopefully I can tone down my spending for a while, but I doubt that, there always seems to be something that catches my eye.

As soon as I get the card, I am going to take a picture of the whole set.

Thanks Everyone,
Lee

Posted By: Bryan
I saw the thread title and thought to myself, I hope the last card you needed wasn't the Moriarity/Cobb that I outbid you on a couple of weeks ago. I would have felt bad if that was the one you were waiting on.

Congrats.

Posted By: Lee Behrens
I do need to say thanks to the board members that were helping me to find that last card. A couple of near misses with the variations.

I had decided to get the Cobbs out of the way early, I still think they are the best bargains for a Cobb card out there.

Once Again Thanks to all on the lookout,

Lee
Posted By: Lee Behrens
There was some requests for a scan of the whole set. If you count the cards there is 134 plus a T205, T206, and a T207 in the picture frame. The set consists of 132 cards, couldn't figure out who the 2 extras were but figured it out whe nI went to put them away.

Posted By: Lee Behrens
Darren,

I found securing the Cobb's not too tough it is securing all the Mathewson's that are a real bugger. Also the Tinker/Evers/Chance card is one not seen often.

Lee
