Posted By: Damian Anderson
I just got my grades back from PSA on some T205's that I asked for a advice on awhile back. The Russ Ford white cap received a 7. I am very happy about it. Does anyone have a good guess what this card is worth/will bring in auction? It is a scarce unlisted single and there are no 7's graded by PSA and one 8 with a qualifier so I believe this to be the best known PSA example. I have a guess as to what I think the value may be, but I really have no idea if I'm way off, close, high, or low. As always I appreciate any help.

Damian

Posted By: Damian Anderson
I think I remember that sophmore is Latin for "wise fool". That's how I am feeling on this board. Please folks, I really value your opinions. Is this post being ignored for a reason, did it just get lost, or am I just impatient? I trust everyone's thoughts here more than anywhere or anyone else. Maybe the topic is just plain unappealling. If so flog me. Thank you all as always.

Damian

Posted By: tbob
I don't think anyone is ignoring you, I juts think that no one really knows what the value would be. If the card is the highest graded T205 of any player, much less a tough one, I would guess 4 figures, but beyond that your guess is as good as mine. You can try looking at the SCD 2006 price guide for a NRMT card for value but all auctions run on what a guy is willing to pay, so who knows?

Posted By: Damian Anderson
I had when trying to noodle this through. It helps. Thank you. Sorry if I seem desparate. This is simply the best place to turn to. I hope I can provide advice here in the future as the rest of you do.

Damian

Posted By: barrysloate
I wanted to respond to your post yesterday but it is true that it is becoming much more difficult to predict what a card will sell for. For a tough T205 graded PSA-7 it's almost the sky's the limit if two set registry people decide to compete for it. I would certainly like to be in your enviable position of having a card of that desirability to sell.

Posted By: Marc S.
So it's tough to tell. But I think $2,000 would not be unreasonable - especially if you compare to some of the prices realized in American Memorabilia T-205 auction last night. A PSA 5 of the Ford brought in $389 before premium.

Posted By: J Levine
Value is based on supply (low) and demand (high)...the Ford white cap is tough but not impossible. The condition alone and the idea of the set registry will push it even higher...my estimate is between $1500-$3000. Large and wide estimate but all it takes is two heavy hitters to push that price sky high. The best way to determine value is throw it up on ebay. The card is very nice (I saw the raw scans) and glad they came back unaltered and graded. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Joshua
