Posted By: Anthony
It is my understanding that they bought the rights to the SCD grading name from Krause. They were set up at the National, from what little I've seen and heard they are not in the same league as their predessesor.
Posted By: robert
What I am really interested in is the integrity of the company...do they grade trimmed cards like CSA. Or are they fairly legit and just overgrade for example they would say a SGC 6 would grade with them as a 9?

thanks

I would not expect any card to cross out of there holders into a grade at any major grading company.

I hope all is well

Charlie Barokas

Then again, SCD has done nothing to distance themselves from these guys, which is also surprising. Maybe they are paying on an installment basis for the equipment and SCD is bearing with the brand stealing until they receive all of their money?

Posted By: Mark
They couldn't buy the name since Sports Collectors Digest continues to use its for other businesses, but I think they bought the rights to the design used on their slabs. The design is EXACTLY the same as the old SCD slabs except the logo is not red. So red = buy, white = pass.
