Posted By: Adam B.
Hopefully this isn't too OT but I was reading the article below (there is a Babe Ruth/baseball card reference) and found how the founder of Rick's Cabaret got his start interesting (I believe there was one in Houston when I lived there). I will make no social commentary but it sure is different than most of the other reasons I have seen for people getting out of the hobby.

http://www.fool.com/news/commentary/2005/commentary05092302.htm?source=eptyholnk303100&logvisit=y&npu=y

Adam B

Posted By: leon
It was longer than 16 years ago. I have been in Dallas since '87 and I used to frequent Ricks ( I was single and well.....there's a real long story here but I need much beer to talk about it) when I still lived in Houston. That makes it at least 18 years ago he started it. If I remember correctly it was another club before becoming Ricks. I frequented it's predecessor too . I guess that's as good a reason as any to sell your collection......I wonder if the girls would dance for a T206 common in vg?

Posted By: runscott
We had a batchelor party at the Rick's in Houston around 20 years ago. The joke that night was "sure, I'll have a table dance - put it on Tom's tab, he's handling the party". What fun, and free. There was this thing one of the girls did...she had really, really long hair and could form a tent over you with it...uhh...never mind.

Posted By: Scott Forrest
Those sweet little girls would be in their '40s now, on their second set of alterations, and the trim... Okay, they would be working at Waffle House.
