Posted By: Richard Dwyer
Why would Mr. Ginter be bidding on this? It's not a slide and shell box. Suppose to have 10 cigarettes to have a T206 inside, not 15. Foil? Wrong tax stamp purposely glued on box? I wouldn't bid 10 cents.

oops, here's the link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1910-American-Beauty-Full-Unopened-Cigarette-Pack-T206_W0QQitemZ5243596065QQcategoryZ86841QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem

Posted By: Brian Weisner

Hi Guys,
3 of these packs were sold on EBAY several weeks ago, and I believe our moderator dude was the winning bidder of one of them. I have a Sweet Cap 15 "soft" pack that also has the 1910 tax stamp, and I believe they were issued sometime from 1915-1918. I don't think any of the 15 packs have cards inside, but I am fairley certain that mine doesn't and I know of 2 others which did not. Maybe Leon or Jon can shed more light on the subject.

Be well Brian

PS I will try to post some pics of my pack shortly....

Posted By: Anson
While the sale of many of these packs doewn't guarantee a T206, I have a problem with even eluding to it in the auction. If I were the winner of the pack, I might contact Ebay (especially if the tax stamp was reaffixed).
Posted By: J Levine
At least no t206 or t205...the t205 only came in the 10 cigarette box if I recall. It is a decent display piece but I think it dates from a few years after 1911.

Joshua

Posted By: Matt Sears
Hello-

I am the seller of this pack and I can assure you that this pack has not been tampered with in any way especially reaffixing the tax stamp. In fact Leon purchased his American Beauty pack from the same reputable eBay seller I did. I'm sure he can vouch for that.

Matt

Posted By: Jon Canfield
Art's pack is the correct for the cards. All of these 15 cig packs came out of Westfield, NJ. The 15 cig packs are very very rare as well - all AB packs are rare. I actually inspected all 6 of these the seller had for auction. As luck would have it, I happened to live in Westfield, NJ this summer while working for a law firm and had heard about them being at the shop. The person who auctioned them off ran a toy store and actually found these 6 AB packs in a larger cigar box - All came from northern, NJ.
