Posted By: leon
Hey Folks,
Just a friendly reminder that when posting your name in the title of each post please be careful it doesn't get too long. If it does then everyone has to scroll back and forth to read the posts. If you put real long names in, in the future, my helpers, or myself, might shorten them......thanks for the understanding (I have got several private emails about this too)

Posted By: Lee Behrens
What is the chance of large scans that make yyyou scroll to the right getting shrunk or deleted? I have to agree that it is very annoying to try to read threads where you constantly have to scroll right or left to right a thread.

Thanks for the notice Leon,

Lee
Posted By: leon
I totally agree with you about HUGE scans. I dislike them. I am hesitant to delete them as that's not a very nice thing to do. I will again ask everyone to make your scans appropriately sized...generally no bigger than 1x the actual size unless it's a real small item ie....pin, R308 etc.......if it get's out of hand, my moderators, or I, might step in. thanks

Posted By: Richard
Thanks Leon. It is hard for me to read the threads when I have to keep on scrolling (since I have this board open in a tiny window at work )

Posted By: Judge Dred (Fred)
Generally most people have their screens set to 1024 pix wides. If we try to limit the max width to 800 pix (or even 600 pix) then this will help alleviate conditions where that annoying horizontal scroll bar appears.

Posted By: leon
I am quite sure that a lot of us don't know how to adjust squat on the computer. I have sold them for almost 16 years and still don't know jack about them AND furthermore I don't really want to. Suffice it to say if everyone will hit "preview" before they hit the "respond" button at bottom they will see how their post is going to look. If you hit "preview" and the darn scan is huge...then don't do it or re-scan it smaller. Or they can adjust whatever you said
