For those how know what they are doing, can surely get this card upgraded.............

are you kidding me? sounds to me like he's implying that you could make a tidy profit by altering or restoring the card

Posted By: tbob
I don't think he is implying anything, he is flat out inviting someone with the knowledge to buy the card, crack it out, wash it, stretch it, dry it and viola no crease. I guess if it worked for some of those high grade T206s in slabs we have seen, it'll work here...

Posted By: cmoking
tbob - can you show some examples of what you mentioned (either by link, pic or direction to find). If what you say is the case, it's horrible.

Posted By: tbob
I think that it has been well documented here and many other places that T206 cards have been soaked, stretched and cut with a laser cutter to achieve a high grade when slabbed. I'm not saying all high grade T206s have been "altered" but there are enough sitting in holders that it makes you feel a little uncomfortable. It has also been stated by posters here that the proper soaking, stretching and drying can make creases or wrinkles disappear in some cases. This isn't a newsflash, it is common knowledge...

Posted By: cmoking
I'm fairly new here...and unlike most people here, I don't collect T206 cards - don't even own one. Hopefully that's the only reason I didn't know that - and it isn't stupid ignorance on my part!
