Posted By: davidcycleback
I am nearing completetion on "Authenticating Early Trading Cards" which covers sport and nonstport cards and touches on card-related items (premiums, advertising, etc). In the guide I will list recommended books and websites for readers, which likely will include beginners.

If anyone has an essential book or guide for early baseball, football, sport or non-sport cards that will benifit readers, let me know. A short list I have includes Standard Catalog, Beckett Almanac, Old Cardboard, Net54 and PSA chat boards, Lipset's Encyclopedia, Adam W's boxing card guide. As Net54 is included, everyone's personal website will be indirectly included. Obviously I need recommendations for non-sport stuff. I also am not averse to include resources for modern material, for example if someone has a partcularly useful site on 1986 Fleer or even how to detect counterfeit Buffy the Vampire Slayer game cards.

Consider recommendations not so much a benefit for me, but for other collectors including beginners.
