Posted By: pete
Ok, I have a rare opportunity to purchase 2 1914 Cracker Jack Joe Jacksons, 1 SGC 50/4 and a PSA 4. Since they are for my collection (and not to re-sell, at this time) what should I offer to pay for each of these cards? Should I pay more for one or the other because of the grading company? The only difference I can see is the SGC 50/4 has better corners and a little better centering. The seller wants me to make an offer first before hearing his asking price. What do you guys (and gals) think??

Thanks for any help!

pete-

Posted By: zach
it's a tough card and a great player....5k would be more than a steal. A psa 3 one recently sold on ebay for $6,100.

Posted By: MW
According to the SGC Population figures, there is no SGC 50 1914 CJ Joe Jackson. Either the card was graded in the last several days (at the National) or the seller is pulling your leg. Do you have an image of the card?

Posted By: quan
there is on '14 cj jax in the current mastro auction. 8k for a '15 is reasonable now, so dan's 10k isn't so bad. i'd try to get it more down to 8.5-9k.

Posted By: Dan Koteles
the 1914's are much tougher and should bring 1500-3000 per grade more then the 15's and it really depends on how lucky you are .

The 1914's are most likely on alot of peoples want lists, so....expect to pay more fot it.

I agree that the most you would like to be at is Quan's mark and it isnt out of the question, but a psa 4 or sgc 50 is a really nice grade for the 14 issue.

I you get it for 5k and want to make a quick 2k ,Im ready.

Dan
