Posted By: <b>john/z28jd</b><p>Born on this date 104 years ago today was the man who ranks 23rd in career batting average(.330)among guys with over 5000 at-bats. Manush batted over .300 in 11 of his 15 full seasons including twice hitting .378 and one of those years he missed,he hit .298 while finishing 2nd in triples and scoring over 100 runs.He twice led the league in doubles,once in average,twice in hits, once in triples and 6 times scored over 100 runs.4 times he finished top 5 in the mvp voting.<br /><br />So on his birthday lets celebrate by posting some scans of this great hitter.C'mon everyone,show your Heinie's!<br /><br />since i dont have on of his cards,ill post his hall of fame plaque from the baseball hall of fame website:<br /><br /><img src="http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/hofers_and_honorees/plaques/images/Manush_Heinie.jpg">
