What are the Easiest Prewar Sets to Complete

It is loaded with HOFers, but all cards are relatively easy to find. <br /><br />As far as the N-sets are concerned, the N29 and N28 have to be fairly easy. I see them all of the time and there are only a handful of baseball players in these sets.<br /><br />Not sure what T-sets would be easy...<br /><br />The other members may disagree with my choices, but there they are...

Posted By: <b>jay behrens</b><p>t201 would be the easiest of the t-sets to complete. The "tough" card in the set, Daugherty/Lord, isn't that tough. Finding a complete set of n28baseball isn't too hard. Getting the somplete 50 card set is a bit tougher.<br /><br />The gum card issues, I'd says the 1939 or 40 Playballs would be the easiest to complete.<br /><br />Jay<br><br>My place is full of valuable, worthless junk.

Posted By: <b>tbob</b><p>E95 and E96, but it's going to cost you, particularly the E96. Forget about E94, E97, E99, E100, E103 and E107. <br />T201 is very doable. T206 if you have the time and money is completable until you get to the last 6-7 cards. Forget about T204, T207, T209, T210 and the T213 Coupons. Absolutely forget about the T212-1 1909 Obaks.

Although it does not compare to some members collection for a limited budget man such as myself it is quite an accomplishment. Not to mention that this is my first pre-war set. Can I get a Hip-Hip-Hooray for Bryan!<br />

Going for a T206 is always fun if you pick away and have twenty more years to live and realize that by the time you are serious about purchasing one of the biggies, the prices may be a long the way the Faberge egg trail.<br /><br />If you have some monies (and patience), how difficult are small sets like Scrapps (18) and N300 (40)? There are like 11 BIN Mayo's on Ebay right now, more than a quarter of the set offered. <br /><br />I have less than half of each of the two sets and I'm thinking about perhaps making a seious push in finishing them. In both instances, they do show up in catalogs and on eBay every so often an the sets are small enough that I would think that these can be completed with ease (as easy as any pre-war sets come) being so small. <br /><br />DJ

Posted By: <b>dan mckee</b><p>whoever said 39 playball needs their head examined. T201 also has a tough common. 1 of each card, 1941 goudey, any color, very simple. Also 1936 goudey and the 1930s S&S are very simple. 39 Playball is a bear with high numbers. Of course, if you are a doctor or a lawyer and can throw money around like it doesn't matter, any set is virtually easy. But for us true collectors, stick to the S&S set!

I don't think they are really that plentiful, but there is no effort into trying to find any particular commons, etc.<br />-Rhett

I was guessing off the top of my head as I've never tried to collect them and never head anyone mention the set as having any difficult cards.
