Posted By: leon
Hey Folks,
I just deleted about my 4th post in the last 24 hours because of folks posting about buying or sellling in the main body of the board. Should it be allowed in threads where folks are talking about cards? I am not saying they were main threads but when the threads start folks go in and tell others they have this or that for sale. I am not open to allowing it in the main body as a normal course of business.....I am just getting tired of deleting everyday board member's posts in threads. My personal thoughts aside what do ya'll think?

Posted By: Anson
I have made the same mistake. The formatting of the two look very similar at times. Sometimes I'm on here later in the day and have a brain lapse. Sorry for all the extra work.

I feel a BcD VAM dollar comment coming.

Posted By: barrysloate
All card business belongs on the BST and Leon should delete all other posts. He is working extremely hard to keep the board fair and bends over backwards not to delete anything. In return, we should all play by the rules.

Posted By: DJ
Not referring to you Mr. Parks.

Just people who have no interest in an item listed on the B/S/T just making silly little comments. We've all seen them...things that have nothing to do with the potential purchase.

Just a Pet Peeve...bigger problems in the world...

DJ

Posted By: jay behrens
There is no reason for someone to make offer to buy, sell or trade in an existing thread on the main board since you should be able to contact there person directly via email. Simply enough.

Jay

I like to sit outside drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home I would be arrested, so I go to baseball games and fit right in.

Posted By: davidcycleback
The b/s/t should only be in the b/s/t. It's not a big deal if one person offers something for sale or there is an occasional errant post, but it would be a mess if lots started doing it.

Also, if there is a wrongly placed sell post once in a while, a board member can point out that the post should go in the b/s/t. In other words, Leon shouldn't feel compelled to delete each and every sell post if they are only once in a while.

Posted By: leon
Easy for you to say. The first time I let someone post an errant one (which I agree is no big deal) then I get private emails from folks whining about others doing it and they can't. Ya' just wouldn't believe it.....I think the consensus is not to let anyone do it. That is the only way to be fair across the board (pun intended). And for those who continue to do so knowingly, eventually you will be barred from posting on the board. Don't say you didn't know better when you've been posting for years. If you make a mistake you can go back and edit it out. If I have emailed you or called you in the last week about this then you know who you are.... regards

Posted By: Andrew Parks
Posts of cards for sale/trade/want should go in that section. Topcis of interest should go in this section.

The "inane banter" is sometimes fun and reminds me that this is after all just a hobby for grown-up kids.
