Posted By: Scott Elkins
This was the same SGC 60 Matty that was on eBay a few months ago that we all had the overgraded thread about and BCD was in awe that the card was a 60 (HAS to be as Mastro states this is the ONLY SGC 60 Croft's Candy Matty!). Personally, I think it should be in a 40 holder with the rounded corners and extensive wear. Nobody on the board thought it should be in a holder higher than a 50.

So, a word to Andrew, and ALL potential bidders - bid like the card is an SGC 40............or, you will be very upset when it arrives!!!

Posted By: Scott Elkins
Still, every other card/lot I have viewed has come up larger sized than this one in the beginning. Before you bid, make certain to enlarge the scans and you will see the Matty is only VG.

I am in NO WAY bashing SGC for missing this one (NOBODY is perfect, and as you ALL well know, I think very highly of SGC and their consistency)! I simply think a "fast one" was trying to be pulled with the small scan that comes up! I truly believe if the card was undergraded by two grades and was not sent to PSA for a "corrected" grade by the auction house, that there would definitely be a write up in the description about how "this card is definitely NM, SGC you missed this one - needs to be resubmitted or sent to another company for grading!".

Posted By: quan
yea blow that scan up with the image pump...not surprised it went back up for auction so fast. let's see if SGC will jump at the chance to buy this 2k+ card back instead of a common $50 card. Scott too bad it's not a Cocoa or you would pay at least 5 times the $2k

edit to say the c57 hockey set is amazing! but very light on other caramel stuff.

Posted By: Andrew Parks
I should win the Matty, stick it on my shelf for 6 weeks , send it to PSA to get the 4 and then ask for a refund from Mastro...just for shiggles and gits...

Posted By: Scott Elkins
I wouldn't pay that much for a Cocoa Matty (I only paid $5k for my Cobb)! If I remember correctly, when that card (The SGC 60 Matty) was on eBay, the bidding never exceeded $800. I guess more and more people are buying the card and not the holder these days.

Posted By: tbob
Quan- you are right on the money. Let's see if someone at SGC will pick up on this thread and buy this one back. I think this is a lot further from a 60 than the aforementioned Rhoades card.
