Posted By: Virus in email
I have a relatively new email account (not the one linked here) that has only been used infrequently, and almost 100% related to vintage baseball stuff.

This account has received 5 emails tonight, all containing the same virus (worm, actually). My Norton AV caught it each time.

Info on this and its removal is available here:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sober.o@mm.html

Don't open any zips unless you are 100% sure of the contents. Many of these will list emails accounts you may know.

If I did this at home I would be arrested, so I go to baseball games and fit right in.

Posted By: vetekbob
For those of you who are afflicted with spam in regards to the after math of this problem or in general, I invite you to try mail washer. It is very good about keeping spam from actually getting on your mail server. It allows you to read any mail on their server before downloading it yourself to view the entire email. I sure hope no one uses outlook for mail as that is asking for trouble. I guess whoever this is has nothing better to do in their life than to bring injury to others.
Robert

basicgreatguy@hotmail.com
