Posted By: quan
i remember reading awhile back on some site (perhaps andy cook's?) that besides all the other variations there is also a davis grey uniform? can anyone confirm that the variation exists? below is my example with the faded colors (not a variation).

while i'm at it, would also love to see a DOLAN color variation if there's any. I have a DOOLAN and have seen a couple others with DOOLAN but not yet a DOLAN.

Posted By: scott brockelman
not sure if this is the same card, but at one time i owned one of the davis cards with a color missing which resulted in the gray uniform. probably just 1 of the colors is missing which makes the card appear semi-fininshed or semi-unfinished, whichever is correct. and further assupmtion would result in at least one of every card on that particular sheet having the same look. all probably the result of the ink running out.

scott

Posted By: quan
email sent gary...and i can go along with scott's theory about the missing color. seems logical with the missing shade of red/brown turning it to grey.

Posted By: tbob
Quan- I also once owned a Davis with a gray uniform which was because of a color missing in the process situation. It may even have been the one Scott was referring to in his post. I haven't seen any other color variation E97s but then again you don't see many E97s these days...
