Posted By: leon
I know there was talk when Brian and I took over the moderator job of the board about it declining. Yesterday was the largest page view count in the history of the board. It was 13,970 page views by 730 unique IP addresses. The number of posts (209) was also near the most ever. Just thought it interesting and decided to share. I hope folks have calmed down a little about what the board is and where it's headed. I have tried to moderate with a light hand for the most part except where things start getting too personal. We have blocked 4 IP addresses since taking over. I will ask that anyone that I ask to email me privately please do so as I am trying to protect our little board. If you do not, after I ask, then you will probably be banned. That has happened once. Thanks to everyone for continuing to make this the very best Pre-WWII baseball card chatboard. regards.....your moderator buddy....

Posted By: leon
I can see posts per day real easy...don't care to go back and see what the hot topic was though. The record is 240 in one day...and there have been a handful of over 200. Generally it's been about 150-190 a day.....take care

JC- Oh mighty is left for you, not me

Posted By: warshawlaw
With our luck we might just get it!

Given all of the auctions right now I am not surprised. I cannot recall a time with more good stuff moving around for big $$ that wasn't a National.

Just wish I was in on some of it...

Posted By: tbob
Just curious, what holds the record for longest thread, going back to the days of Elliott as moderator. Just curious. I remember I started one innocently one time which caught fire and ended up going south and off subject in a hurry before cooler heads prevailed.
