Posted By: leon
Hmmmm...not that I am above anyone else but I put a snipe bid in for these and it came back saying I was banned from this guys auctions. Darn it I think this is the guy that had all of the trimmed E cards, bought as such, then put on ebay saying they either weren't or he didn't know..I was rather vocal about calling a trim a trim......what a maroon.....later

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5179245940

Posted By: Scott Forrest
He banned me also. I was looking to purchase some Dallas Cowboys mini-helmets from him...but, YOU ARE BANNED! I think he must have read one of our previous threads and created a list.

Sadly, he is from my home town. If I ever go back to that armpit, I might drop in and get those helmets anyway.

Not intending to hi-jack the thread, but how do people feel about buying from sellers they have no respect for? Broadway Rick had some Spalding athlete cards for sale a few months ago, in NM condition with original coupons and glassine envelopes - I could not help myself.

Posted By: Judge Dred
Scott - Good question - Would I buy from someone that I didn't respect? Yes I would but I'd probably do it through an intermediary. The only bad part about this is that when the seller (for whom you have no respect) "screws" you by proxy via the middle man then you basically have to accept what is sent to you or risk having the middle man banned from the persons future auctions. I suppose that being banned just might be a favor/blessing to the middle man. I'm sure that there are a lot of potential middle men out there so what the heck.

I would have to figure that after the third of fourth middle man we should probably learn a lesson. That lesson would be that if it smells like a fart, sounds like a fart then the seller just may be a fart? I hope that the last comment doesn't take me off of the potential middle man list.

Posted By: Robert
I was banned from a person auction because he only accepted MO's or CC's and demanded payment within 5 days. I sent it the next day and came the 5th day he reported me to EBAY for non payment. After some harsh emails he banned me, I think it is more then fair to give a 10 day time frame for payment if those are your only terms. I have never left negative feedback for anybody who was late in paying.

Posted By: Lee Behrens
I got banned from a guys auction for returning an obviously trimmed card back to him. I end up occassionally bidding on his auctions and then remembering after the notice that I can't bid on his auction, so I always send him an email thanking him for banning me and saving me some money. There is also another one out there to buy.

Lee
Posted By: Scott Forrest
and found I had been banned. Same thing - he read the threads on here about his PSA-slabbed fake "Nodgrass" cards and banned a bunch of us. I had forgotten about it, so I also thanked him for banning me.

I would like to see an ebay feature that allows you to "ban yourself" from selected sellers.

Posted By: tbob
For all you 20 something and 30 something guys on the board who aren't old enough to know, the "maroon" reference is to Bugs Bunny's sarcastic comment about someone being a moron, he'd say "What a maroon!" as he crunched his carrot.

Posted By: Ted
Hey kids, my first memories were of having a radio. My dad even found one that mounted on the handlebars of my tricycle and my favorite thing was to ride around the block listening to the baseball game. The mailman used to coax me to ride with him while he did our block so he could keep up with the score.

When we finally did get a TV (tiny picture, big box, black and white of course), I sat there watching the test pattern until late afternoon when that voice would finally say, "What time is it kids?"

Anybody have a clue as to the answer?

My other memory of the first years of TV was the Friday Night Fights. Look sharp, feel sharp, be sharp. That was the jingle, what was the product?

Yeah, and I actually remember opening packs of those little Bowmans.

Ted
He who so shall, so shall he who!
