Posted By: John
I picked up a nice '34 Goudey Paul Waner today from a local dealer. When I was leaving he said thanks and enjoy your "goody". Over the past twenty years in which I have been collecting these cards I have heard it pronounced "gowdy" and "goody", probably at an equal clip. I live in part of the country were there is an obnoxious mix of West Virginia, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland dialects (which are all distinctly different). This obviously might be a contributing factor. My question is how is pronounced correctly (or is this a "tomato" vs. "tomawto" debate)?
