Posted By: Rob L
He claims he is not an expert on cards, however, he bought this card from a reputable dealer. My questions are: 1) if he isn't an expert on cards, how does he know that the dealer was reputable, 2) who would purchase a high value item from a "reputable dealer" without having some background knowledge.

Now, I'm no expert on cards (just fireman tintypes ), but this one stinks. Plus it looks horrible.

Posted By: David Smith
I asked the seller 1) why his newer cards were graded by some unknown grading company (Capitol Grading) and 2) why his older, high value cards were not graded. I said it would seem to me to be worth the small expense of both time and money to get them authenticated and graded, especially for the starting bid amounts and this is what he responded with:

(PARENTAL ADVISORY ROUGH LANGUAGE)

Dear davidsmith,

YO ******* FOR ONE THING I HATE PEOPLE-ONE YOUR THE TYPE THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO AND HAS NO FRIENDS BUT TO HARRASS PEOPLE ON EBAY ABOUT OTHERS AUCTIONS-YOU COULDNT AFFORD WHAT I HAVE ANYWAYS-THE CARDS THAT ARE GRADED WERE GRADED WAY BEFORE PSA OR ANY EBAY STUFF-THEY PAY TO GET ON EBAY-I GOT THESE CARDS WAY BACK WHEN HALF OF THESE GRADING CARD COMPANIES DID NOT EXIST IF IT WAS NOT FOR EBAY-SO DONT BE A COCK EBAYHEAD -I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT TIME OR MONEY NOT GETTING THEM GRADED IN MY AUCTION-SO PUT UP OR SHUT UP-BECAUSE I HAVE YET BEGUN TO PUT WHAT I WANT-IT WILL PUT YOUR SORRY ASS UNDER FOR AUTHENTIFICATIONS YOU LITTLE BITCH-THIS IS FOR SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY-GO DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR LIFE-GO OUT-LEAVE EBAY AND STOP HOUNDING PEOPLE-IF NOT GO FIND A HOLE AND **** IT-I HATE JERK-OFFS LIKE YOU WHO WASTE MY TIME-I DO NOT RIP PEOPLE OF WITH A 99.1 POS FEEDBK RATING-I BUY CARDS STRAIGHT FROM COOPERSTOWN DEALERS THE HOF WHICH I LIVE 35 MILES AWAY -YEARS AGO-JUST WATCH AND SEE

Please respond to the question on eBay by clicking the button below.

Thank you,
saturationblack

Posted By: Shane
the mantle card, including the riveted holder looks exactly like a 1952 Mantle reprint I bought from an ebay dealer a few months ago. The guy had 10-15 of them up for auction.

I just pulled mine out and compared. the back is the same and the front is the same darker shade of blue.
