Checking the scans, it sure appears to me that the bottom edges have some perforations on them. Maybe it is just these old eyes but I emailed him that I felt he may have run in to some 1980ish reproductions. I believe these cards were reprinted by somebody and inserted into a card magazine or book and you were to tear them out. The scans are murky but what do y'all think?

The response I got showed that they were probably just that....naive. I know they could just be bs'ing me but they did pull the auction and seemed genuinely surprised....oh well another one down....regards all
