Posted By: Bryan
I know that there are some photograph experts on the board so I thought that I would ask for some help with this one. I picked this up recently and was wondering if anyone could help in possibly telling me who the picture is or may be how old it might be. I'm not even sure if it is authentic so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bryanhttp://www.network54.com/Realm/tmp/1101522701.JPG

Posted By: bryan
Someone thought it looked liked a early Tris Speaker. Does anyone know how I could find a way to identify him?

Posted By: runscott
and decided it was a nice 1910-20 photo of an unknown baseball player, worth about $30. When it got to $26 I un-bookmarked it. I emailed the seller to tell him that it had probably been matted recently, but you can tell it's still a legitimately vintage photo by the glare off the dark background (silver gel?).

But as David will tell you, most of these photos are unique, so if you like it you did fine.

Posted By: hankron
Old photos of unknown baseball players, including junior high teams and women, are collected. It doesn't have to be Ty Cobb or Hugh Jennings to be worth something. If you bought this for your personal collection, I think you paid a fair enough price ... As I posted (and erased) and Scott said again, one can tell from the image that the photo vintage.

Posted By: Bryan
I bought the picture for my personal collection. ONce I saw it I fell in love with it for some reason. It doesn't really matter to me who it is I just thought that I would ask to get some information if anyone had it. It will go on my wall just like the rest. Great picture though!
