Posted By: Joe_G.
Detroit won the game 18 - 2 after jumping ahead early with 9 runs in the 1st. It was still early in the season with the victory giving Detriot a 4 game lead over Boston with their 11-1 record. Pittsburgh fell to 4-5.

I have all the details of the game as reported from the 5/12/1887 Detroit Free Press including attendance of 2,100 and the unlucky Pittsburgh pitcher, Bishop. All 9 Detroits accumulated at least 2 hits apiece for a total of 27. This was a typical game for Detroit early in the year.

I know I shouldn't spill the beans and show such interest before asking, but is this item for sale?

Thanks.
