Posted By: <b>Darren J. Duet</b><p>Just thinking about all the Cobb cards out there and I was wondering which of them is your favorite? Which pose really describes his character? My favorite is his T3, but it doesn't do his character justice -- I think the E95 captures it better. His T202 A Desperate Slide is a card that captures his grittiness but then it is adjoined with the T205 portrait which I find less characteristic of Cobb(maybe this portrait got him the nickname of Georgia Peach). T227 is an awesome card & his T206 red background is a stunner (it's as if he is staring right through the viewer). There are alot of great Cobb's out there, which one is your favorite?

Posted By: <b>runscott</b><p>...until I finally got hold of a t205 with great color and registration...and then the t205 until I picked up my first t202 with the Cobb/Austin center-panel. I prefer the green background t206 over the red, but they both are classics. I guess I'll take one of each.

Posted By: <b>Jason</b><p>It looked real nice would have likely graded PSA 4. It was 1998 and the guy wanted 185 bucks... Should've bit but I bought some other nice T206's at the time so it wasn't that bad...<br /><br />Aside from that I don't own a Cobb until I bite the bullet and buy his T201.

Posted By: <b>JimB</b><p>There are so many beautiful Cobb cards; it is difficult to pick one. I have always liked the T206 Bat off. The colors and image are so nice. The red background is a hobby classic.<br /><br />I also like the E93 (and E98s, I think) where Cobb is reaching up from the bottom of the card to catch a ball. <br /><br />The T202 Cobb/Jennings/Cobb sliding card is another beauty I have always wanted.<br /><br />Jim

I also, believe that he IS the greatest baseball player of all- time, as well. Enough of my random thoughts, on Cobb. My favorite card of Ty, is his T-206 red background. One of those items which I really regret selling.<br /><br />Other nice Cobbs that I wish I had - Rose Postcard, Plow's Candy, Tango Egg, Darby Chocolate, ranging from really tough to virtually impossible to find. Does anyone out there in Forum-land have one?

Conlon photo of him plowing into third that is on three T202 combinations entitled "Ty Cobb Steals Third" (but not the one mentioned earlier in the thread). <br /><br />I would post one here but I have yet to suceed at posting an image on this site. T227 since it is just a cool pose and neat colors.<br /><br />3. E95- great glare from Cobb and the rich, red background.<br /><br />The next one that I would like to have eventually is the T205. I love the color and the artwork on that card.

I owned the T3 Cobb for a little while, but the right edge just didn't seem "correct", it seemed short. I posted them to attempt to help him sell them, I was not representing them as mine. Only trying to help out a really nice guy. All of the other cards on the site are mine, as are the cars. Posted By: <b>823dek</b><p>Having had 113 Cobbs at one time and 44 were Red Back- it wasn't availability alone that made me continue to seek them, the red portraits display extremely well as does the Tinker , Chance, Kling and M.Brown portraits, I still have some very strong ones of each ,but...they were ovewhelmed with the abundance of THE RED COBB !<br /><br />Line up over 70 combined Red portraits and they just take you.<br /><br />The e-95 looks unique and detailed , but sorta shows a wimpy looking Cobb and I agree with Julie that the Cracker Jack may be best, he has that, ah...THAT"S RIGHT LOOK , IAM TYRUS RAYMOND COBB!!!!!!!<br /><br />That bread card above as the Mello Mint have evaded me, so...I guess I cannot comment on them, but....anyone have an example that I CAN BUY ? ...ugh!<br /> - Dan Koteles
