WOW! What a Game! I told my wife at the beginning of the game that the Dodgers were going to win the game. Brett Tomko had me a little worried, but what a comeback! Findley's homerun reminded me of Kirk Gibson and Game 1 of the 1988 World Series!

Go Dodgers!!!

Posted By: A Fan
Is it a nice thing to shove this down Goober's throat. He's reeling in pain and your stuffing this right down his Giant throat - written like a true blue Dodger fan. All Dodger fans are happy for you but this aint 1988, it aint the World Series and the comparison pales. Nice game though.

Posted By: Behrod Hosseinzadeh
Today was a wonderful day. First the Angels come from behind in the 8th to win the division in an incredible fashion against the rival A's. Then the Dodgers outshine the Angels by rallying in the bottom of the 9th once again to defeat the archnemisis Giants to take the division. Its a wonderful day in the Southland today.

The Angels are on fire right now. GO HALOS!

Posted By: quan
about time! now hopefully they can win at least 1 game in the playoff. i'm always very pessimistic and don't expect much when it comes to the dodgers.

Posted By: simon
The Dodgers & the Angels did not win a pennant, only their divisions. The 2 teams that go to the World Series will be the pennant winners. It still can be the Dodgers & the Angels sp give it time.

Posted By: Gary B.
i understand, in fact, i live in southern california and most people here are either dodger fans, angels fans or both. I'll be happy if one of the following happen:

The Giants win the World Series.
The Red Sox win the World Series.

If neither of them make it and the Yankees do, all I can hope for is that ANY team beats the Yankees, but that's nowhere near as fun, though it was pretty gratifying when the Diamondbacks beat them a few years ago.

Just once it would be nice if a team I cared about made it all the way - just once...

Posted By: honus3415
Ahhh the first World Series I can remember watching on TV as a kid......1963.... Koufax and Drysdale rubbing out the Yankees....how sweet it was. My central Indiana neighborhood was filled with Yankee\Packers\Celtics fans (always the winners for some reason) and it was one of the first loses for one of those dynasties in the 60's.....It was rough being a Tigers fan even back then.

Good Luck to all collectors with teams in the post-season....Detroit has kinda numbed me to those feelings.

Time for one more chew on that Tiger bubble gum of 1968...

Posted By: Rob L
I am the one of the biggest Angel homers for the last 30 years so I was stoked today. I am also one of the biggest Dodger haters in the Southland, but today I was even more stoked that both LA area teams clinched their respective divisions on the same day. A Freeway Series would be great.

Also, watch out Manny, Vlad may have stolen your MVP votes over the last 10 days!!!

Posted By: jay behrens
Just thought I should tell you, the Dodgers are still a long way away from winning the pennant. All they've done is win the division.

Jay

I saw weird stuff in that place last night. Weird, strange, sick, twisted, eerie, godless, evil stuff. And I want in.

Posted By: warshawlaw
and I was there, baby!!! Field level behind the plate. The Giants' bully SUCKS. I've never seen a collapse like that.

The stadium was sheer pandemonium afterwards. I got it all on video and shot over 350 pictures w/my digital camera. I've never managed to catch a clinching game before for anything.

Posted By: runscott
We were in the middle of a rain delay, tarp covering the field, Reds losing. Then they flashed on the scoreboard that the competition (I think it was Los Angeles) had just lost, causing the Reds to clinch. I have photos of the Cincinnati players diving on the wet tarp and sliding around the field. Wild stuff. I'll post one later if I can ever dig them up.
