Posted By: <b>leon</b><p>That resembles a Gargling Oil trade card to me. I would date it to the early 1880's but it could be later 1880's as I am unfamiliar with that particular one...I think the other trade cards I have, similar to this one, are from 1881....best regards

Posted By: <b>davidcycleback</b><p>The bottom text font is identical to the font on some other late 1800s trade cards, so it's safe to date it to that period. Plus, it overall resembles a trade card from that period.

Drummond<br>Birth: Nov. 21, 1834<br>Death: Sep. 30, 1897<br> <br>Businessman. Founded the Drummond Tobacco Company in St. Louis. The Drummond Tobacco Company later was purchased by the Meyers Tobacco Company (later became Liggett-Meyers). He served as Alton, Illinois' mayor from 1868 to 1871.<br>
