Posted By: <b>Richard Simon</b><p>I had to enhance this picture a little cause it is under glass and the scan did not show up well, the actual color is more blue.<br>It is an invitation to Opening Day at the Polo Grounds in 1905. Picture of the clubhouse, crowd scene from prior season, Giants roster (Matty, McGinnity,Bresnahan,etc) and date and invite to home opener. <br>It is on my wall with a postcard picture of John McGraw and a NY Giants postcard.<br>Guy walked into a show one day, about 15 years ago with this item. The photo features Vasco Barton who is the person on the far left in his Ceveland uniform. Team was from Kentucky and played other coal mining clubs. Barton managed and played for the club and was drafted by Cleveland. It's not for sale but will give you first shot should it ever become available.<br><br>I did see another one on ebay a few years back that didn't sell. Posted By: <b>Mark</b><p>The Tigers piece is rare. I used to have one from the same series, but a Pirates... a very cool figural. I sold it for $175, and have regretted it ever since. That was over 10 years ago, and I have never seen another one since then.

Posted By: <b>Mark</b><p>I agree... late '30s / early '40s. If I knew the Pirate was that rare, I would not have sold it (or would have at least snapped off a photo first). As I recall, the Pirate atop the ashtray was magnificant and unique... a mean snarling fellow. I have never seen another Pirate Mascot portrayed in that manner. <br><br>BTW... your Tiger is very cool as well!
