Posted By: Romeo
I was wondering if anyone had any feed back on these 2 bats, One is an Pinkey Whitney store bought mode H&B bat I would have to guess is from the late 40's or early 50's, the other the other bat with the label "R. G. Johnson, Sebago Lake, Maine" prominently embossed in the wood. It is a size 34 bat, made of birch,Because of their fine craftsmanship and quality wood, major league players, serious amateur ball players, and school teams alike had used Johnson bats. I really have no idea of the age of this bat but would guess it is also from the 40's or early 50's.

I had someone respond about the Pinky Whitney bat asking about if it could had been game used be cause he didn't think that H&B 250 models being offered to the public.

I was wondering if anyone would have any H&B dealer catalogs for 1933-1936 in order to check to see if H&B 250 models being offered to the public.

Posted By: Mark L
I have a H & B catalog from the thirties that lists both 125's and 250's for sale to the public. The 125 model goes for $2.50 and the 250 model, for $3. Both are "made in assorted models of famous sluggers, each bat autographed. Lengths 32 too 36 inches, stamped on knob end." As usual, the knob tells the tale.
