Posted By: <b>Kevin O'Gara</b><p>first is 2 allstar bats from 1938 and 39, from a friends parents house where these were found when they moved in many years ago, they are in mint cond. Next is a signed bat by jackie robinson on a roberto clemente model found at a flea market in new york for 75 dollars. it had clear packing tape which had yellowed over the years and i peeled it off real slow and it never affected the autograph. authenticated by jim spence. then a 1870 manufactured baseball found at an upstate antique store for 10 dollars , to bad a piece of leather was missing but where will you see another one.Last a babe herman game used bat with H43 on the knob, which if anyone could date manufacturing period i would appreciate the help. its still great when you can search high and low and not sit on ebay. happy hunting.<br /><a href="http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/?action=view&current=P1010005-5.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/P1010005-5.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><a href="http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/?action=view&current=P1010004-3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/P1010004-3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><a href="http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/?action=view&current=P1010008-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/P1010008-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><a href="http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/?action=view&current=P1010013-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/P1010013-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><a href="http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/?action=view&current=P1010012-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/P1010012-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><a href="http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/?action=view&current=P1010011-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/P1010011-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><a href="http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/?action=view&current=P1010010-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/P1010010-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><a href="http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/?action=view&current=P1010009-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/P1010009-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><a href="http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/?action=view&current=P1010014-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/P1010014-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><a href="http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/?action=view&current=P1010015.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r233/kyle9190/P1010015.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />Kevin O'Gara<br />baseballrelics@yahoo.com

Posted By: <b>Mike H</b><p>Kevin, I can't see in the scan, but if it says "Trade Mark Reg" under the center oval it dates from 1943-1949. If it says "Reg. U.S. Pat Off." it is from 1950-1960. <br /><br />What does it say?

Posted By: <b>Dan Bretta</b><p>What is it about the baseball that indicates it's from the 1870's? <br /><br />Great finds btw....the great thing about memorabilia as compared to cards is that most people are still clueless as to the value of old equipment, trophies, et cetera....but cards? That damn Honus Wagner T206 has made every Tom, Dick and Mary who runs across a 50+ year old card in their attic think they hit the lottery.

Posted By: <b>Rhys</b><p>Small stitch baseballs like that are usually dated to the mid 1880's to early 1890's. Still rare and a nice example and a rare ball.

Posted By: <b>Dan Bretta</b><p>I found a pic of mine...Pretty sure mine is not from that era as it has multi-colored stitching.<br /><br /><a href="http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b331/nudan92/Vintage%20Baseball%20Memorabilia/?action=view&current=baseballs001.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b331/nudan92/Vintage%20Baseball%20Memorabilia/baseballs001.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Posted By: <b>Kevin O'Gara</b><p>dan, yours dates from about 1901 to 1915s to20s because of the color stitches. my pics. dont show how tight the stitching is it is much tighter than a reg. baseball, and that it is 9" around. i know the stitches look the same as a regular baeball.<br /><br />Kevin O'Gara<br />baseballrelics@yahoo.com

Posted By: <b>Mike H</b><p>Kevin, Since Babe Herman stopped playing much after 1936 (he had a total of 54 at bats between 1937 and 1945), this couldn't be sold as a Gamer for him. It's a pro-model bat from the 1950s. It could be a college or semi-pro bat but it is unlikely to have been used in the big leagues. It's a great bat, but not a Babe Herman gamer.
