Posted By: Alan O'Connor
Hi-
I picked up this Spalding bat along with 3 other 1930s-40s Louisville Slugger (125s) game used bats. I know very little about Spaldings, so the question is--could this be a players' game bat? Or just a store model? There is also a script player name.
Thanks in advance!
Alan

The bats were used but not as much as the Louisville Slugger models. Some of the decal bats had professional player models as well but never game used, can you read the players name

Jimmy
Posted By: Alan O'Connor
Thanks for the help with the info on the bat. Here's some follow-up "good news, bad news". Bad first--about 1/2 inch of the end of the barrel was cut off and half the handle grip (at an angle) for use in a stair bannister. The good news is that the player is Earl Averill.
Alan
