Posted By: Tom Boblitt
are the BF4 pennants from that timeframe. Yours is not a BF4 though. It might be an American Chocolate & Nut but I'm not an expert on those. The BF4's were about 2 by 4 inches and have TONS of different types. Player names with silhouettes, player names without silhouettes, team names with logo, without logo, minor leagues and many more. They were also issued for colleges and for hockey teams. They came primarily it seems with Red Ball Gum as a premium on winning sticks of gum. I've also seen envelopes for them with Grandpa Brands of gum. Sorry can't help on yours specifically but the BF4's are pretty well-documented in the SCD big card book.

Posted By: jim sexton
Steve, I believe your pennant is described in the ACC as a BF6. They were produced throughout the fifties. The set includes all the original 16 major league teams as well as teams moving to new locations. There is even one of the Minnesota Twins, which means as late as 1961. They were put out probably by several different companies, including Red Heart Dog Food and Hormel. They sell for 5 to 15 dollars and are fairly common on eBay.
