Posted By: Dan Bretta
NYY1 could be Lee Magee? He only played one season with the Yanks in 1916. The uniform is either 1916 or 1917 road uni.

Posted By: bobw
I'm sure most know about the Library of Congress web site, but for those that don't, if you love pre-1940's baseball photos, you can spend hours looking over all the images they have.

Posted By: bobw
You have to be specific as to what you are looking to eliminate alot of the results you don't want.

If you type "baseball" in the search box, you will get thousands of results, but to find the above photos, I typed "baseball" and "Brooklyn" and I only got 347 results, then used the Gallery view to see 20 photos at a time.

Posted By: Jerry Spillman

Thanks very much bobw for the ids. However when I went to the baseball reference site to check out the player's names some of them were not listed. There may have been some misspellings.
