You can also store all those pics on there without having to worry about fire because the pics aren't stored on your computer or on a disc they are always available on the net. You can also choose to keep them private.

All of this stuff on here has some value to each and every one of us. Some of it is ultra rare, some of it is not. There isn't a soul on this side who puts the cash before the pride he or she has in sharing an object with others. There's always something that someone finds appealing or historically significant. Personally, I get a kick out of learning about new things. Before this board, I never even heard of the Nebraska Indians. Now I find it fascinating each and every time a new piece is found.<br /><br />I recently posted a Narragansett Scorekeeper from 1910 for the Providence Grays. What is it worth? I couldn't care less. All I know is that it's probably the only one known of it's kind that still exists. It doesn't sit in a museum, it's not loaned out to anyone, it's here for anyone to see it if they care to. Should it be in a museum? Probably. It's a heck of a lot rarer than any Honus Wagner card. Why isnt' it in a museum? Because it only appeals to a small number of people.<br /><br />Anyway, I'm certainly not interested in getting into a cat fight over this nonsense. Just think over what I've said. Life's too short.<br /><br />Why does Dicken's Christmas Carol keep popping into my mind?<br /><br />Happy New Year, Bruce. Bruce is ridiculously pompous and seemingly suffers from a host of issues which make his socialization skills less than ideal, and frankly, quite comical. I think Bruce's OP was more or less an attempt at making friends -- he just hasn't quite learned the art of being "pleasant". (And his use of the royal "we" is just the starting point.) <br /><br />Oh, and if anyone has received derogatory and/or threatening private e-mails from Bruce (a staple of his failed attemtps at socialization) as a result of of this thread, alert leon. Bruce was warned about such behavior and can be made to go away.

Thankfully, the seller made a nice scan of the inside of the scorecard, which allowed me to discover Eddie Grant was playing in the game. Grant, who made his major league debut later the same season, only played a few games for Lynn. He graduated from Harvard earlier during the same season. Since I collect Grant stuff, this was a real find for me. Rare 1918 regular season red sox program and a very very rare 1918 Babe Ruth "Barnstorming Program" that took place right after the 1918 World Series. Ruth pitched in this game! Only one I have ever seen. Also came with a newspaper article that before the game they auctioned off a ball Ruth hit for a triple in the world series and a bat used by Ty Cobb. Very nice.<br /><br />Here are a pair of Detroit Wolverine vs Boston Beaneaters scorecards from July 13th & 14th, 1887. Detroit's Pretzel Getzien would lose to Madden on the 13th (4 to 12) but Larry Twitchell would better Radbourn on the 14th (7 to 4) keeping the Wolverines ahead of the pack.
