Posted By: ramram
Ok, football, but here it is anyway. Picked up a HUGE framed (original) cabinet of the 1887 Ottawa College FBC (Foot Ball Club) "Champions of Canada" team. The interesting thing is that earlier this year, from a completely different source, I picked up an almost identical cabinet card of the 1888 championship team, which I have since sold.

Rob M.

It is one of the best looking composite photos I've seen, and the period frame completes it. Can you take a closer in of the trophy? I don't know if you're selling it but I'll tip off someone I know who may be interested to it. John Buonaguidi had a great Canadian football composite photo, same vintage, that he sold at the 06 National, seen below, and featured in the page link below:
http://sportsantiques.com/06natpage4.htm

As for mine, I would imagine it will be available for sale/trade before long.

Framed dimensions are roughly 24"x28".

Here is a closeup of the trophy.

Rob M.
