Posted By: Mark
Yes.... the last PAIR sold on Ebay for a little over $500. This was for the Batter and Catcher, both in NRMT Condition. The seller was Heritage, out of Dallas. I tried to bid, but my computer died right before I could hit the button

In a Catalogue Auction such as Hunts, this Pair probably would have realized $800 - $900. As for a single statue, I believe it is worth $350 - $450 (in top condition, with no restoration).

I have the Catcher, and would be very interested in obtaining the Batter to go with it. Mine looks funny and incomplete displayed by itself. Please let me know if your intention with this post is to sell the Batter piece (as I would be very interested).

This very statue is actually one of the top pieces on my current "want list". Hope this is helpful, Mark

Posted By: Mark
Brock:

I am not aware of any remakes of the Testi statues, although they may be out there.

I am aware of two types... most have a rather black looking finish. Some, however, have a more Gold or Gilt colored finish. The black finish is more common, and the pair that last sold on Ebay was this blackish variety.

Both types are original, as far as I know.
