Posted By: ramram
Have any of you guys received your items from the last Leland's auction yet? I sent a money order two weeks ago but nothing yet. I'd imagine I'm still a week out, possibly, but was curious if people were receiving their items yet.

Rob M.

Edited to say - Received today.

Posted By: Mark Steinberg
RamRam:

I am still waiting for my lot as well (from the previous Lelands Auction). Granted, it's a large turnstyle from Crosley Field, so I imagine that packaging and shipping were quite a "challenge" to say the least.

Still, it does seem to be taking lots longer than normal this time around...

Posted By: scgaynor
Mark, I saw it getting packed up the other day. You are correct about the delay, sometimes the really challenging packages get put off until we have some extra time.

Thanks

scott

Posted By: Mark Steinberg
Scott: The Crosley Turnstyle arrived safely yesterday. Good thing they were able to separate it into two packages. It was still quite a load! I wonder which was a more difficult packing job... this one or the Crosley Field Ladder you shipped me earlier. That was probably the biggest box I've ever received. Kudos to Craig and your shipping dept!

Posted By: Mark Steinberg
Good question, Mike... Right now it's in my bedroom. Someday, I will re-do the display room, so that you have to enter thru the tunstyle.

The kids are now old enough that they know not to play w/this stuff (though it is still tempting to their friends, when they come over to visit). At least this turnstyle is a sturdy thing... when the kids were younger, I used to have heart attacks when they would run and jump around the bobble head display. Between that and the California Earthquakes, I probably picked the wrong hobby!
